There first time when the idea of this carbon fiber electric bike came out was in December, 2019. Jay, known as the found of Morfuns Bicycle, has a great passion on folding elecctric bikes and for years of sales of regular Al-alloy bikes, he finally decide to build our own carbon fiber bike.
The First 3D-Printed Mould
In March, 2020, we received our first 3D-printed frame. But it didn't finally meet our needs, for the main tube and rear fork were just too long. Then the second round of modification started. Then it came with the third, the fourth...All the modification we've done controbute the perfect product.
In July, 2020, we finally got our first sample frame, painted with shiny black. Weighed only 1.1kg, hidden folding hitch, frame-built-in controller box...All these features make the whole frame look just a masterpiece of geometry!
Debute of the Prototype
At the weekend when we finished assembly, Jay, also know as a shutterbug, took the bike out for some nice pictures. And it is also the debute of this model and soonly, it just became the focus of all attention. Now, it's time for you to have one......
Light Weight is always a key feature of a folding bike. The Morfuns team spent 198 days to finally have the first model done and thankfully, we reached extremely light for 12.8kg. It can easily lifted up to put into your trunk.
Step 1: Push down the seat post to the ground and fold up the pedals;
Step 2: Adjust the angle of the handlebar and fold down the stem ;
Step 3: Unlock the main folding hitch to do the last fold-up.
Some people may worry about the range. Thus, we designed this bottle battery to be a solution for the last miles. Samsung 7.0Ah, easy connection, only 1.5kg, easy to store. This is definitely the balance between lightweight and capacity.
